Vera Playa & Town

Vera Playa (Beach) lies around 8km from the main inland town of Vera, though the fishing village of Garrucha is the closest town.

Vera beaches are approx 7kms and run the length from Villaricos to Garrucha, with 1 km designated to naturists. This beach is known as the "world's best naturist beach resort" and is widely popular with many Europeans, it is also the largest in Europe.

Vera town has grown in the last decade with an influx of foreign visitors purchasing property within the town.

The town has a great variety of modern facilities and historical sightseeing points of interest including the 15th century church, originally built to protect against the moors, the town hall built in the 16th century and also the bullfighting ring, to name but a few.
